Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Editorial board calls for thoroughly research papers for publications in the next issue of the journal. MANUSCRIPTS FORMAT
Manuscripts of research papers should not exceed 18 pages including tables, figures, and appendices written in English Language only, typed in Times New Roman with 12 pt font size and double spaced on one side of A4 paper only, with a 3cm margin on the left, right, top and bottom sides. All texts should be linked to the left and right margin, that is, paragraphs should not be indented and text should be justified. Single line spacing should be left between paragraphs and double line spacing before a new heading. Single line spacing should also be left between a heading and the following paragraphs. All headings should be in 12 pt bold capitals, Times New Roman. Paragraphs and sub-paragraph should not be numbered. The manuscript should be arranged under heading and sub-heading with pages numbered consecutively. The following arrangement is preferred:

Title page (page 1): To contain title of not more than 16 words, the name(s) the affiliation(s) and address(es) of the author(s) and the name, address, telephone and email of the author who will be responsible for correspondence and corrections. The title should be in 12pt font, bold capital. The name(s) of the author(s) should be in 12pt bold upper and lower case while the affiliation(s) and address(es) should be in 12pt upper and lower case with single line spacing between each.

Abstract and keywords (page 2):
The next page should contain the title, an abstract followed by up to five keywords. The abstract should contain between 200 and 300 words and should state in precise and very brief, the objectives, methodology, findings, conclusion and applications of the findings for theory and practice. Keywords selected should facilitate readers search. The total number of words in the abstract and the manuscript should be stated below the key words.

The heading ABSTRACT and the sub-heading KEYWORDS should be in 12pt bold capital while the keywords themselves should be in 12pt bold upper and lower case arranged alphabetically.

INTRODUCTION/PREVIOUS WORKS
A brief introduction should follow the abstract/keywords. This should state in clear terms the purpose (aims and objectives) of the paper. It should include reference to appropriate work but comprehensive historical or literature review should be avoided. Discussion should emphasize the implications and practical significance of research findings, their limitations and relevance to previous studies.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
Where applicable a conceptual framework should follow the introduction. The section should state and explain in clear and precise form, the variables of the research conducted and the relationship between them. A figure should be included to aid the clarity of the relationships.

RESEARCH METHODS
A brief and concise description of the methods used for the research should come next. This section should give a brief explanation of the population samples, subjects instruments and tools for the research.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
This section should explain the results of the analysis done in the research, their interpretations, findings and discussion. Authors should state results only (data presentation and all computations involved in the analysis should be excluded). Discussions should relate findings to results of previous studies on the subject matter and their implications.

Authors(s) should endeavour to present results of analysis using tables or figures, which should be typed in single-line spacing and to be limited to a page per table or figure. Different font is permitted in the attempt to limit a table or figure to a page. Every table and figure should be numbered and have a title typed on top for tables and at the bottom for figures. The sources of tables and figures obtained from literature should be stated at the bottom of the table and figure.

CONCLUSION
The next section i.e. conclusion should state concisely the next important propositions of the papers as well as the recommendations of the author(s) based on the propositions.

ILLUSTRATION
Illustration where necessary should accompany the manuscript and be included in the text photographs, standard forms and charts should be referred to as figure and should be numbered Figure 1, Figure 2 etc in the order in which they appear in the text. The figure identifications and accompanying description and any reference should be single line space immediately below the figure and linked to the left margin. Such illustration should be submitted in a form ready for reproduction. Drawing and diagrams should not exceed 140mm in width and all dimensions must be in mm. Annotation must be in upper and lower case lettering, the capital of which should be 3mm high. Figure will normally be reduced in size when reproduced and authors should draw with this in mind. With a reduction of 2.1 in mind, author(s) should use line not less than 0.25mm thick and upper and lower case lettering, the capitals of which should be 4mm high. Typewritten annotations are not acceptable. Photographs should be black and white glossy prints. Each should have lightly written on the back, authors' name(s), the figure number and an indication of which edge is the top. Where lettering is to appear on the photograph, two prints should be supplied, one of which should be left unlettered.

TABLE
Table should be located close to the first reference in the text and should be referred to as Table 1, Table 2, etc and be numbered in the order in which they are referred to in the text. The table identification and accompanying informative description and any reference should be single line space immediately above the table and linked to the left margin. The table identification should be bold. All statistical methods and sources of data should be identified ? Tables should have three lines only, the heading and bottom line being in bold. The body of the table containing data or numbers should not be lined. All words should be in upper and lower case lettering. The headings should be aligned to the left of their column, starting with an initial capital and be in bold. Any explanations should be given at the foot of the table, not within the table itself.

SYMBOLS, ABBREVIATIONS AND CONVENTIONS
These must follow the recommended SI units. Where non-standard abbreviations are used, the written out in full on the first mention in the text followed by the abbreviation in parenthesis.

REFERENCES
The American Psychological Association (APA) system should be used. Reference in the test should be quoted in the following manner: Ojo (1998) or (Ojo, 1998); Stone and Wood (2003) or (Stone and Wood 2003). If there are more than two authors, Adeola et al (2001) or (Adeola et al. 2001). Reference should be collected at the end of the paper in alphabetical order by the author's surname. If references to the same author have the same year, they should be differentiated by using a and b etc. the style should conform with the following description.
